10 Sweet New Alcohol Products That Will Give You a Sugar High With Your Buzz
Is It the Booze Aisle? Or a Candy Store?

In the alcohol industry, conventional wisdom suggests that millennials really, really like sweet flavors. So marketers are flooding the market with fruity — and in some cases very boozy — drinks, infused with everything from watermelon to margarita flavors. Below is just a sample of what has been hitting the market lately:
1. Buzzballs
Founded in Texas, these come in plastic, round freezable cans in flavors such as “Strawberry Rum Job” and “Forbidden Apple.” A few of them were recently spotted at a Walgreens in Chicago.
2. Happy Juice Express
This recently began hitting stores in South Carolina. A 24-ounce bottle has 12% alcohol-by-volume, which is about three times the punch of your average light beer.
3. Bud Light Lime Mang-O-Rita
Anheuser-Busch InBev recently grew its seemingly neverending Rita franchise with Mango-Rita and Raz-Ber-Rita. Trademark filings suggest the brewer’s next flavor will be Apple-Ahhh-Rita.
4. UV Vodka, Sugar Crush
Sweet vodka flavors are nothing new. But the UV brand got right to the point with its new Sugar Crush flavor.
5. Pucker Watermelon Wow Vodka
Remember when watermelon was for kids? The summer fruit is increasingly popping up in booze flavors, including this one from the Beam-Suntory-owned Pucker brand.
6. Redd’s Wicked Apple
MillerCoors is following up its recent Redd’s Apple Ale launch with Redd’s Wicked Apple, which at 8% alcohol-by-volume packs more punch than regular Redd’s (5%).
7. Jose Cuervo Teagarita
Margaritas are hot. So is hard iced tea. Cuervo combines them both into one drink.
8. Mike’s Hard Frozen Mango Lemonade
Freezable pouches began growing in popularity in 2012. Mike’s recently expanded its pouch line-up with Mango (which is a trendy flavor in itself.)
9. Malibu Orange Float and Fizzy Pink Lemonade
This is not your grandfather’s rum-and-Coke. One comes in a can and the other combines orange flavor and coconut liqueur.
10. Sauza Tequila Sparkling Margarita Watermelon
What happens when you combine margaritas, watermelon and bubbles? This.
